If I had to choose my favorite application off of the Linux desktop Amarok would be it. It's got tons of features but isn't bloated, and from my personal experience is more capable of handling large music collections than any other player on any other platform, including iTunes. It's not as stable as I'd like my media player to be, but great releases keep rolling in all the time and I'm sure they'll eventually squash all the stability bugs.
